AGARTALA:
North Zone romped into the semi-final by virtue of their lead as the Duleep Trophy quarter-final against South Zone ended in a draw. Resuming at 77 for one after taking a 165-run first innings lead, North Zone declared at 257-8, captain Vikram Rathour scoring 93.

Brief scores: North Zone 589 and 257-8 Vikram Rathour 93; V Raju 5-62 drew South Zone 424 and 100-1 Nanda Kishore not out 51, S Mahesh 42.

Paes starts easy
JAIPUR:
India8217;s Leander Paes has received a tough draw with Finn Tuomas Ketola a possible quarter-final opponent and top seed Paradorn Srichaphan also in his half in the ATP Challenger tournament beginning on Monday. Paes, who clinched the Lucknow Challenger, meets qualifier Kamlesh Kumar Shukla in the first round.
