Indian umpires for NZ series

MUMBAI: S Venkatraghavan, AV Jayaprakash and VK Ramaswamy are the Indian umpires who will officiate in the three Tests against New Zealand along with three other neutral umpires at the other end.

First Test, Mohali (Oct 10-14): Venkat and Peter Manuel (Sri Lanka); Second Test, Kanpur (Oct 22-26): Jayaprakash and Darrel Hair (Aust), Third Test, Ahmedabad (Oct 29-Nov 2): Ramaswamy and Rudi Koertzen (SA). The third umpires for the three Tests would be HS Sekhon, VM Gupte and I Sivaram respectively.

The umpires for the One-Day International series are: Nov 5 (Rajkot): I Sivaram and K Hariharan. Third umpire: MR Singh. Nov 8 (Hyd): Jasbir Singh and SK Tarapore. Third umpire: K Murali. Nov 11 (Gwalior): K Parthasaradhi and SC Gupta. ZThird umpire: S Asnani. Nov 14 (Guwahati): SK Bansal and Sekhar Chaudhuri. Third umpire: Francis Gomes. Nov 17 (Delhi): VM Gupte and SK Sharma. Third umpire: Umesh Kumar.

United vs World XI

NEW DELHI: Star Movies will telecast livethe millennium match between Manchester United and World Eleven to be played at Old Trafford on October 12.

The movie channel will telecast the match live from 0030 hours onwards on Tuesday, a release said.

The World XI team is being captained by Eric Cantona.
