NEW DELHI: Petroleum Sports Board won the 59th Sub-Junior National and Inter-State Table Tennis Championships being held in Ajmer. In the final they beat Tamil Nadu 3-0. Delhi lost to Tamil Nadu 2-3 in the semifinals after having defeated Karnataka 3-0 in the quarter-finals.
The cadet girls team event was claimed by Bengal who defeated Tamil Nadu 3-0.
Haryana, MP win
NAGPUR: Haryana defeated Uttar Pradesh by four wickets, while Madhya Pradesh beat Andhra Pradesh in the All-India Vijay Merchant Trophy under-16 Knock-out Cricket Tournament today. Uttar Pradesh, who conceded a 57-run lead to Haryana were all out at 177 in 50.2 overs. In another match, Madhya Pradesh downed Andhra Pradesh by nine wickets.
