KARACHI, May 2: Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has said the Pakistan government had discredited itself by confining its anti-corruption drive to former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto instead of the entire ruling elite.
“It’s been discredited, although the campaign is quite justified, because it is one-sided accountability,” Khan, leader of the Tehrik-E-Insaf (Movement for Justice) party said in an interview with Reuters yesterday.
Khan was commenting on a government-appointed Ehtesab (accountability) cell which has accused Bhutto of plundering millions.
