Weren8217;t you a last minute replacement for Akshay Kumar in Barsaat?
I want to clear this up once and for all. There is nothing new about an actor replacing another. Akshay couldn8217;t do the film because of date hassles. He8217;s a good friend and when he asked me if I would do it, I said yes. Anyway, I was free, so I agreed.

Bipasha and Priyanka fighting over you. Could it possibly get any better?
Laughs There should8217;ve been two more women fighting over me.

Do you have an iron rod in your right leg?
I fell from a horse while filming an action sequence during the first Barsaat. It still aches, but as long as I can walk, dance and jump, I8217;m cool.

We hear you go to Singapore for a haircut.
That was when I was shooting for Dillagi. If you remember, I had short hair but my brother wanted it long. Since nobody in Mumbai did hair extensions back then, I had to go to Singapore every month. Avan Contractor cuts my hair now. And, if I may say so, she does a great job.

Are you on a sushi only diet?
I8217;m obsessed with sushi. I used to hate it but then, suddenly, the taste grabbed me. Now, it8217;s a necessity.

Why are the Deols on their own trip, in their own planet?
It8217;s just become like that. My dad Dharmendra and brother Sunny Deol have always done their own thing. We are what we are. We8217;re happiest at home. I8217;m aware that other actors like to be seen at parties, but we are content in our own space. We don8217;t let movies enter our family and hardly discuss it at the dinner table. I8217;m sure other actors miss private moments with their families.

Which was the last film you saw with your dad and brother?
Now that you ask me, I just realised that we8217;ve never sat together to watch a film. I8217;ve seen some movies with my dad and some with bhaiya, but I can8217;t recollect any we8217;ve seen together. But hey, I remember Mera Gaon Mera Desh was the last film I saw with my grandmother. And Haqeeqat was the last film we watched in a theatre.

What8217;s the status of Apne?
It8217;ll start by December. People are going to expect the world of it because it stars Dad, Sunny bhaiya and me. We8217;ll try to make it as real as possible. The film8217;s about a father who has certain dreams and wants to live them through his two sons.

What8217;s your take on Ram Gopal Varma8217;s Sholay?
It is a moment and landmark in everyone8217;s life but you can never make another Sholay. You can8217;t recreate the magic. I8217;d rather be part of a film that becomes a Sholay than a copy of the original.
