‘If you can’t tolerate, decide Rane’s fate’

Uddhav Thackeray said when his party did not 'tolerate' Rane's misconduct they did what they had to and Cong too should act.

Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday said that it was time for the Congress to decide upon Maharashtra Revenue minister Narayan Rane’s “indiscipline”.

“We did not tolerate his indiscipline, when he was in Shiv Sena and so we did what we had to do. It is now for the Congress to decide how to deal with him. If they can tolerate indiscipline, then so be it,” said Thackeray.

“I will not comment on change in power since this is an internal matter of the party. But the party has to think over it,” he said.

Expressing his displeasure on Friday, Rane had said that he was “not satisfied” by the state government’s performance adding that if it continued to work in this manner there would be problems in the next election.

He had also targeted Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh by accusing the Government of not functioning for ten crore people but only for ‘one person’.

However, Deshmukh had rejected the charges levelled by the Revenue Minister and said his government was functioning smoothly.
