IAS coaching from Dec 17

PATIALA, Nov 26: The IAS and allied services training centre at Punjabi University will start a five-month coaching course for IAS preliminary from December 17 as per the directions of the Ministry of Welfare. Dr G.S. Bajwa, director of the centre, said graduates with 50 per cent marks can apply for admission on the prescribed form attached to the prospectus, available in the office of the centre, by December 2.

The interviews will be held on December 8 and 9 for SC/ST and general category candidates, respectively.

Honour for Punjabi varsity Physics dept Patiala: Dr Niranjan Singh of the Department of Physics, Punjabi University, has been nominated as a joint secretary of the Indian Society for Radiation Physics, Mumbai, while Dr Nirmal Singh, Dr P.S.S. Sandhu and Dr B.S. Sandhu, all from the Physics Department of Punjabi University, have been nominated as members of the Society.
