Are you disappointed with the failure of your first Bollywood film Nazar?
Not at all. I don8217;t bother with the box office. Amitabh Bachchan had so many flops before he became who he is today. Even Aishwarya Rai and Sridevi didn8217;t have a successful launch.

What went wrong with Nazar?
The feedback I8217;ve got is that I looked old in the film. The camera angles were not good. I would love to do a Salaam Namaste kind of young film. I can also do what Preity Zinta does. I know I8217;d be as good as she is because, in real life too, I8217;m a very lively person. The problem is that people are giving me serious roles because I8217;m a good actress.

How old are you?
I8217;m 23. The reason I look mature is because I8217;ve been working since I was 14. But don8217;t worry, the confusion will end as soon as I do a zabardast romantic film with a top actor. You know, something like Salaam Namaste.

What advice does Mahesh Bhatt give you?
Bhatt saab is everything to me. He8217;s my guru, a father figure. He8217;s told me to just wait for the right film and the right director. Do you know when Sanjay Leela Bhansali is making his next film?

By next year. Do you want to work with him?
Absolutely. He8217;s very good. I also like Subhash Ghai and he likes me too. I want to work with him and also with the Yash Chopra banner.

Are you in regular touch with Mahesh Bhatt?
I call him every day. I have to consult him for everything.

You recently met Shah Rukh Khan in London.
Arre, I really like SRK. Inshallah I8217;ll work with him soon. I8217;ve heard that he encourages youngsters. So I8217;m sure he8217;ll help me. If you know him, could you tell him that I want to work with him?

I told him in London. He said, 8216;8216;Why not8217;8217;. But I don8217;t know when that will happen.

Where is home these days?
Pakistan is still my home but presently I8217;m staying in Mumbai.

Why aren8217;t you a part of the Devdas that8217;s being made in Pakistan?
I don8217;t think the director Iqbal Kashmiri can make the film. He approached me but I refused. Now I hear he has taken Reema Meera8217;s rival in Pakistan. He wants to copy Bhansali8217;s Devdas but Pakistan doesn8217;t have the facilities to do it. Films are all about packaging and Pakistan is still not good at that.

Have Bollywood stars given you any tips?
I8217;m very keen to meet the stars. But it8217;s difficult. I would love to model my career on Rekha and Rani Mukerji. Ash is good but she does fake acting and isn8217;t natural.

Have you signed any film other than Killer?
I8217;ve met Anil Sharma and hopefully he8217;ll make a film for me. He really gives me a lot of izzat and pyaar. Subhash Ghai has also been supportive. I want to do something really nice and hot with him. I mean, something good.

Any dream roles?
Any role with Aamir Khan. He8217;s a really classy actor. Though I haven8217;t seen Mangal Pandey: The Rising, I8217;m sure he8217;s brilliant. Can you please tell him that Meera wants to work with him? And if you know Hrithik Roshan then please tell him also. He8217;s brilliant.
