SONEPAT, July 26: Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal has ordered the suspension of S. K. Ahuja, sub-divisional engineer of the Haryana State Electricity Board (HSEB), currently stationed at Ganaur.According to official sources, the suspension follows a series of complaints against the official regarding erratic power supply and man-made power crisis in the town and adjoining areas. The alleged indifferent attitude of the official was also said to be the cause for his suspension.Official sources also revealed that a deputation of prominent citizens had called on the Chief Minister and had apprised him of the officer's misdeeds. Taking serious note of the complaints, the Chief Minister ordered immediate suspension of the said SDO.Meanwhile, the Punjabi Welfare Sabha today condemned the action of Bansi Lal in suspending the said officer and threatened to launch an agitation if he was not reinstated immediately. The Sabha also criticised the anti-Punjabi attitude of the CM and warned of serious repercussion from the Punjabi community.
