Howards calls, will sell uranium

India got a shot in the arm ahead of negotiations with the Nuclear Suppliers Group for its India-specific guidelines when Australian Prime Minister John Howard called up Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday.

Howard conveyed to Singh the Australian Government8217;s decision regarding the sale of uranium to India. Australia has some 40 per cent of the world8217;s uranium reserves.
