CHENNAI, June 17: Despite the TN Government’s belated attempts at curbing the skyrocketting vegetable prices, many a hotel in the city is opting for the "cheaper" vegetables like brinjal, beetroot and radish in preference to the costly carrots, beans and tomatoes, on the daily menu. Hoteliers say the vegetable bills have gone up 150%, while customers go away dissatisfied, saying the hotel meals were "not what they used to be".
