Holocaust meet irks EU official

The EU8217;s top justice official on Tuesday condemned Iran for hosting a conference of Holocaust deniers.

8220;I want to state my firm condemnation of any attempt to deny, trivialise or minimise the Shoah, war crimes and crimes against humanity,8221; EU Justice and Home Affairs Commissioner Franco Frattini said.

He said the conference showed an 8220;utter disregard of historically established facts8221; and constituted 8220;an unacceptable affront not only to the victims of that tragedy and their descendants, but also to the whole democratic world.8221;
