CHANDIGARH, JUNE 15: Taking a serious view of the increasing tension across the LoC, city Mayor Kewal Krishan Adiwal today asked the Union government to send Union External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh to Pakistan hold a dialogue with his counterpart in Pakistan.
According to a release issued, the Mayor said these talks would help the Indian Government to project its stand before the international community in a better way.
The failure of earlier talks between Pakistan and India has created confusion and warlike situation at the border, leading to exodus of people residing in these areas.
Meanwhile, Sector 17 Traders Association paid homage to the Kargil martyrs and asked the Centre to provide all financial assistance to their families. The traders also appreciated the courage shown by the Army men while pushing back the infiltrators across the border.
