The turf war between the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Planning Commission has occupied lots of news space through the week but it8217;s far from over. While the Parliamentary Standing Committee now wants to examine the airports8217; modernisation progress, the ministry itself is readying even more ammunition to target the Plan panel, which it has accused of delaying projects. The ministry, it is learnt, is preparing a list of meetings it has held with the Planning Commission on the upgradation of Kolkata and Chennai airports, intending to confront the panel on how its 8220;constant objections8221; are holding back the projects.
