MUMBAI, JANUARY 20: The stage is set for what seems will be the first exciting event of the new millennium. The Screen-Videocon Awards for excellence in cinema, television and music, to be held at the Andheri Sports Complex on Sunday, January 23, will showcase a host of talented performers who will enthral audiences with their on-stage histronics.

Among those expected to perform at the event include music band Bombay Vikings, singers Raageshwari and Falguni Pathak and actors Akshay Kumar, Urmila Matondkar, Aishwarya Rai and Ashutosh Rana.

The theme for the evening, and appropriately so, is the six elements that go into the making of a Hindi film. Action, comedy, dance, fear, romance and music have been chosen to represent the vital ingredients of a typical Bollywood potboiler. The show will feature an audio-visual on each element, and a performance by a Bollywood favourite who represents that element on the big screen.

Among the other highlights of the evening would be a special fashion show by ManishMalhotra, which will feature a bunch of the country8217;s leading models including Madhu Sapre, Bipasha Basu, Anna Bredmeyer, Noyonika Chatterjee, Rajlaxmi Khandvikar, Aditi Govitrikar, Shweta Jayshanker, Carol Gracias, Sampada Inamdar, Nina Manuel, Svetlana Casper, Dipanita Sharma, Fleur Xavier, Rahul Dev, Rahul Bhatt and John Abraham.
