Helmet issue 8212; Govt flayed

SAS NAGAR, JULY 20: The local unit of Shiromani Akali Dal, at its meeting called by the SGPC member Hardeep Singh, today condemned the Punjab government for challaning Sikh women for not wearing helmets. They demanded that the Punjab government and Chandigarh Administration immediately exempt Sikh women from wearing helmets.

SGPC member Hardeep Singh said the Union government should stay the implementation of this judgment and said Gurcharan Singh Tohra would present a Bill in this regard in the Parliament.
