H8217;ball meet from September 28

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 14: The Chandigarh Handball Association CHA will organise the 14th Sub-Junior State championship from September 28 to 30, at the DAV Senior Secondary School in Sector 8. According to a press release, players born on or January 2, 1984 are eligible for the meet.

Entry close with Ravinder Singh handball coach on September 27, at the venue. During the meet players will be selected for a coaching camp on the basis of their performance in the State meet. The camp will be held at the DAV 8211; 8, from October 2 to 16.

Lawn tennis tourney
The Inter-Departmental lawn tennis tournament in the men8217;s section for Central government employees of Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh will be held from September 23 to 27 at the AG Aamp;E, Punjab, tennis court. According to a press release, entries close on September 20, with CS Bewli, secretary, CCS, Regional Board for Sports, Survey of India Complex, Sector 32-A.
