Haryanvi dance workshop ends

PANCHKULA, Oct 22: The ten-day Cultural Exchange Workshop on Folk Dances of Haryana by the Ghoomer Academy concluded at Gaiety Theatre Shimla, today. It was conducted in collaboration with Department of Language, Art and Culture, Government of Himachal Pradesh and Department of Cultural Affairs, Haryana. Over 50 students performed folk dances of Haryana such as Ghoomer, Khoria, Loora, Sawan and Phag. I D Dhiman, education minister of Himachal Pradesh presided over the function which was attended by Nisha Singh, mayor, of Shimla and Ram Subhag Singh, deputy commissioner, Shimla.
