Guneet-Hardvin are champions

CHANDIGARH, Aug 18: Guneet Rekhi of DAV School, Sector 15 and Hardvin Johl, wife of professional golfer Amandeep Singh Johl, claimed the Independence Day Golf Cup tournament for ladies held at the Chandigarh Golf Course here today. They defeated Harinder Sandhu and Kuljit Suri, the match finishing on the 15th hole.

Both the finalist pair won cliff hangers each on the 18th hole.

Earlier, Rekhi and Johal beat Sheena Sekhon and Tanya Garewal and Sandhu and Kuljit Suri accounted for Binny Bath and Harbhajan Suri.
