Gopal Verma flayed for remarks

NAHAN, Oct 29: Organising secretary of Himachal Non-gazetted officers NGOs Federation Ved Parkash Sharma, president of Himachal Pradesh Extention Officers Federation Industries Department and president of district Sirmaur NGOs association in a statement issued here today strongly condemned the statement of Gopal Dass Verma, president of HP State NGOs Federation that 70 delegates present in the state elections of Confederation belonged to the state federation representing various districts and sister organisations held at Solan on October 27 last in which Verma was also present.

Sharma said that it was most unfortunate that the state president of federation attended the state elections of the Confederation.Sharma said that he consulted the presidents of UNA, Dharamsala, Bilaspur, Lauhal-spiti and Mandi districts of the NGOs federations and their sister concerns who took seriously the step taken by Verma to attend the meeting of Confederation.

Sharma said that NGOs federation constituted a coordination committee to bring all different employees units on one stage but Verma attended the meeting of confederation at Solan without consulting the other members, so he declared to resign from the membership of the coordination committee with immediate effect in protest.

He said that Verma had lost the confidence of employees and he should not talk about any strike as announced in today8217;s press statements. He said that he announced for self-immolation during elections against the winning of Sukh Ram and Shanta Kumar but he never did the same. He said that Verma was never a man of trust and no employee should believe him in future.
