Leader of the estranged group of All Party Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani today said that those who voted in last year8217;s J-K assembly elections could be forgiven, but those who had made them vote had done an 8216;8216;inexcusable crime8217;8217; that would not be tolerated.

As Geelani arrived in Kupwara, tensions rose after a scuffle broke out between the supporters of Geelani and Sajad Lone, leader of Peoples Conference, prompting police intervention to keep the rioters at bay.

Calling his faction as real Hurriyat, he said sarcastically, 8216;8216;They Molvi Ansari faction have done a lot over these years. Terming the healing touch policy of Mufti government as a ploy to divert international opinion, Geelani said that Kashmiris continued to be killed by security forces adding, peace would usher in only if Government of India accepted the disputed nature of the Kashmir problem.
