Leader of the estranged group of All Party Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani today said that those who voted in last year8217;s J-K assembly elections could be forgiven, but those who had made them vote had done an 8216;8216;inexcusable crime8217;8217; that would not be tolerated.

As Geelani arrived in Kupwara, tensions rose after a scuffle broke out between the supporters of Geelani and Sajad Lone, leader of Peoples Conference, prompting police intervention to keep the rioters at bay.

An angry crowd of PC supporters shouted slogans, 8216;8216;Lone sahib ka kataloon ko paish karo Bring forward the killers of Abdul Gani Lone8217;8217;. Few yards away, in an ironic twist, Geelani told a gathering, that the sacrifice of Abdul Gani Lone would not be allowed to go waste.

8216;8216;Nobody would be allowed to sell the blood of my colleague Lone sahib. It8217;s wrong to say that he would have fought the elections. He was prepared to fight but only when the whole Hurriyat would have participated in assembly elections,8217;8217; he said.

Flaying those who had 8216;8216;befooled the people by making them vote8217;8217; in last J-K elections, Geelani said, 8216;8216;If they believe that they would fool people by shouting slogans of freedom on one hand and having a share in the government on the other, they are mistaken. We would let nobody sell the blood of thousands of Kashmiri martyrs. We would throw these people out like a dirty parasite is thrown out.8217;8217;

Calling his faction as real Hurriyat, he said sarcastically, 8216;8216;They Molvi Ansari faction have done a lot over these years. Now we have asked them to rest and leave it to us to take the separatist movement forward. These people could not do justice on the issue of PC participation in last year8217;s elections. They denied that that PC took part in them. It was just like denying the existence of the Himalayas.8217;8217; he said.

Terming the healing touch policy of Mufti government as a ploy to divert international opinion, Geelani said that Kashmiris continued to be killed by security forces adding, peace would usher in only if Government of India accepted the disputed nature of the Kashmir problem.
