CHANDIGARH, Nov 24: Government College for Girls, Sector 11 blanked MCM DAV College, Sector 36, 2-0 to retain the title in women8217;s group in the Panjab University Inter-College tennis tournament at PU Campus here today. GCG won the title third time in a row.

Simmi Rani set the ball rolling for GCG-11 by beating Tripti 6-0, 6-0 in the first singles. In the second singles, Tarminder had no difficulty in scoring 6-1, 6-4 win over Shilpa to lift the trophy.

Earlier AS College for Women, Khanna, who lost to GCG-11 in semifinals, got the third place in the meet.
