GB Police rout Orissa team

Mumbai, SEPT 9: The heavy showers just before the kick-off of the first match, failed to dampen the enthusiasm among the players and spectators alike as the Famous Grouse all-India and South Asia rugby tournament began at the Bombay Gymkhana, today.

Greater Bombay Police began the proceedings in right earnest, slamming in 65 points without reply against Orissa Rugby FC.

Maharashtra State Police were surprise losers against Calcutta Cricket and Football Club. The State police team, who looked totally rusty, lost 3-44.In the last match, hosts Bombay Gymkhana made heavy weather of their match against Young Rugby Club, Calcutta, though the score of 53-8 may suggest otherwise.
