Ganguly panel: HC stays order on unaided minority schools

The Delhi HC stayed its order which had held that unaided minority schools cannot be forced to implement Ganguly panel recommendations.

The Delhi High Court on Monday stayed its order which had held that unaided minority schools in the capital cannot be forced to implement the Ganguly Committee recommendations.

A Bench comprising Chief Justice M K Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Khanna stayed the previous order till further hearing on the matter.

Justice B D Ahmed had on February eight ruled that the unaided minority schools did not come under the purview of the Ganguly panel.

The committee was appointed by the court under CBSE Chairman, Ashok Ganguly.

In its reports submitted before the court, the committee had suggested various measures pertaining to admissions in nursery classes.
