Samsung Electronics has unveiled its next-generation Galaxy Book6 laptop lineup at CES 2026, introducing the Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro, and the standard Galaxy Book6.

At the heart of the Galaxy Book6 series are Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, the first client chips built using Intel’s 18A process. Samsung says the new silicon delivers a significant boost across Central Processing Unit (CPU), Graphic Processing Unit (GPU), and neural processing capabilities, enabling faster multitasking and more responsive on-device AI features without relying heavily on cloud computing.

The Neural Processing Units (NPUs) in the devices are capable of handling up to 50 trillion operations per second and are designed to accelerate tasks such as image editing, translation and more.

Users who require additional graphical power will find the Galaxy Book6 Ultra equipped with a new Intel platform and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 or 5060 Laptop GPUs. The device is aimed at creators and users who work with video editing, 3D graphics, and AI-assisted content tools.

Samsung claims the Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Pro can deliver up to 30 hours of video playback, supported by fast charging that restores more than half the battery in around 30 minutes. Samsung has also overhauled its thermal system, introducing vapour chamber cooling to the Pro series for the first time and expanding cooling components in the Ultra model. These upgrades will help maintain performance under sustained workloads while keeping fan noise low.

Samsung claims the Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Pro can deliver up to 30 hours of video playback, supported by fast charging that restores more than half the battery in around 30 minutes. More efficient power management is intended to support all-day use for work, study, or creative projects.

The Galaxy Book6 Ultra and Pro also come with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with peak HDR brightness of 1,000 nits and an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. Both models are equipped with enhanced anti-reflective coatings for improved outdoor visibility. Vision Booster technology dynamically adjusts colour and contrast based on ambient lighting, while durable Gorilla Glass with DXC treatment reduces glare and improves scratch resistance.

Audio, particularly on the Galaxy Book6 Ultra, is powered by a six-speaker system with Dolby Atmos and force-cancelling woofers to deliver more immersive sound for media playback and calls.

AI is at the centre of the lineup, with Galaxy AI features integrated into Windows 11. Tools such as AI-assisted search, note summarisation, image background removal, and seamless file sharing between Galaxy devices are designed to streamline daily workflows. Samsung has also added deeper integration with Galaxy smartphones and tablets, which allows users to move content across devices with minimal friction.

Despite the added power, Samsung has managed to reduce the thickness across the Galaxy Book6 range. The Galaxy Book6 Ultra measures just 15.4mm, while the 16-inch Pro model is even slimmer at 11.9mm, reflecting a redesign of internal components and cooling structures.

Starting in late January 2026, the Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro, and Galaxy Book6 will be available in select regions, in two colour options: grey and silver. In April 2026, a Galaxy Book6 Enterprise Edition will be accessible in some countries, with features and solutions tailored for managed IT environments.
