VADODARA, Sept 9: Beginning this academic year the First Year B Com students of M S University will have to study the whole syllabus, and not unit-wise options they earlier had.
The attempt to introduce the new syllabi came to naught for the past three years due to student pressures. 8220;This year we intend to introduce it from the beginning of academic year, thus there should be no reason for the students to oppose it this year,8221; said dean of the faculty J K Syan.
He said with this system the students will no longer have a 50 per cent option. 8220;To answer the examinations they will have to study everything, as the questions will now have internal options and not 50 per cent as they would have earlier,8221; he added.
8220;It will be problematic not only for the students but even for the teachers,8221; said a senior professor of the faculty. He added that earlier even the teachers or the tuition classes could also take it a little easy as they had to teach only part of the syllabus. 8220;It is going to be a bit difficult for us, but since it is going to be introduced from the very first day, the students would also be prepared for it,8221; said Rajendra Shah, a First Year student of the faculty.
