France honours Sarin

CHANDIGARH, Mar 19: The French Ambassador to India, Claude Blanchemaison, today conferred the title of quot;Chevalier Des Palme Academiquequot; on Manmohan Lal Sarin, a senior advocate and president of Alliance Francaise. The French envoy pinned the insignia on Sarin at a simple ceremony at the Alliance Francaise in Sector 36 today.

The French Ambassador lauded Sarin for his role in building Indo-French relations and for promoting French in the region. After receiving the honour, Sarin thanked the French government for honouring him in recognition of his services. The French Ambassador was among the first ones to reach the venue and personally received the distinguished guests.
