Forged entry

A wannabe RJD leader from Jharkhand recently sent Rail Bhavan mandarins into a tizzy after he travelled to the capital to express his sincerest thanks to Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for 8220;elevating him to the post of the Railway Board Chairman8221;.

Armed with a letter on a Railways Ministry letterhead informing him of his appointment, the leader went to Lalu8217;s room in Rail Bhavan and almost knelt down at Lalu8217;s feet in gratitude. Stumped, Lalu summoned his lieutenants who then revealed that it was a forged letter on a fake letterhead. The leader, who had come with hopes of occupying the august chair, ended his day lodging an FIR at the Parliament Street police station.
