
Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Friday said that 8220;foreign elements8221; were involved in the October 30 serial blasts in the state in which 84 people were killed.
8220;As the government has found clues of involvement of foreign elements, action will be taken against any outfit whether it is HUJI or the ULFA8230; none will be spared8221;, Gogoi said after distributing cheques of rupees three lakh to the relatives of the victims died in Kokrajhar blast.
8220;The foreign elements have to be identified and the high level investigating teams and agencies from various angles and stages have started investigation in the right direction8221;, the chief minister said.
8220;Further investigations are on and the government is determined to stamp out terrorism from the state8221;, he said.
The government has decided to gear up its counter-insurgency activities and police has been asked to keep a 8220;responsible vigil as any lapse will amount to strong action8221;, he said.
