CHANDIGARH, April 13: While the local Sikh populace seems to be converging at Anandpur Sahib, various internet sites have come up dedicated to the celebrations of the tercentenary of the Khalsa. The sites, replete with information and visuals about the celebrations at Anandpur Sahib, seek to replicate the ambience of the place.

The Punjab Government has two sites. One is that of the Anandpur Sahib Foundation, which is the nodal agency for organising the tercentenary celebrations. The other belongs to the Anandpur Sahib Urban Development Authority ASUDA, responsible for the development works at Anandpur Sahib which are being dedicated to the tercentenary celebrations.

Search for the words Sikh8217;, Khalsa8217; and tercentenary8217; at any of the search engines on the internet and they give a listing of a number of sites.

An interesting site dedicated to the tercentenary is baisakhi1999.org set up by Chandigarh-based retired Army officer Brig Retd Partap Singh Jaspal. It is described by the host as quot;ahumble tribute to the tercentenary birth anniversary of the Khalsaquot;.
