NEW DELHI, August 29: Shastri and N.D. Heroes scored fluent victories over their opponents in group 1 super league matches of the DSA-SAIL football championship at the floodlit Ambedkar Stadium here today.In the first game, ND Heroes beat Moonlight with a convincing 3-0 margin while Shastri earned full points by defeating Collegians 2-0.In a game that picked up momentum midway, ND Heroes took the lead just a minute before breather when Dhirrender Rawat netted home. But soon after resumption, they kept the pressure on Moonlight and made forays to find easy gaps. Twelve minutes into second half, Shyam Thapa increased the lead and by the 67th minute Lalit Bisht competed the task.After Shastri shot into lead in the through Gyanranjan Behra off a penalty, they took time to assert themselves. Shastri struck their second goal in the 66th minute when outside left Vimal Thapa sent in a fine volley which beat the goalkeeper. Shastri lead the group with 12 points from four matches while Collegians finished engagements with three from five games.
