Foreign Institutional Investors were net sellers in equities today offloading shares worth Rs 547.84 crore even as the benchmark index end the day with a gain of 206.20 points.

FIIs8217; invested in shares worth Rs 2,297.68 crore and sold equities worth Rs2,845.52, resulting in net sales of Rs 547.84 crore, according to the data available on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

However, Domestic Institutional Investors were net buyers in shares worth Rs 293.05 crore. According to the data available on the Sebi website, FIIs8217; sold shares worth Rs 51.80 crore on Friday. Among other categories, NRI entities and proprietors invested in shares worth Rs 0.65 crore and 10.70 crore respectively.

Brokers, however, sold shares worth Rs 4.82 crore for their client or retail investors. The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex ended the day 15,395.82 points up at 206.20 points.
