MUMBAI: Net FII investments in Indian stock markets have fallen to 170 million in July from 369 million in June. The major reason for the sudden decline in FII investment is that FIIs have reached the 30 per cent ceiling in many companies like Infosys, Mastek and HDFC.

In several other companies 8211; which have not passed the budget provision hiking the FII limit from 24 per cent to 30 per cent 8211; FII stake has reached the 24 per cent limit. The total FII investments in Indian market have now crossed the 8.5 billion mark. FII sources expect the investment level to cross the 10 billion mark in the current financial year.
