Property slump

The quarterly India Office Market Bulletin of CB Richard Ellis shows a further decline or inactivity in the real estate segments in the metros.

In Delhi, limited transaction and a slowdown in new MNC arrivals is said to have added to the general pessimism. The report says that the downward pressure on rental values will continue in the near future. In Mumbai, the supply has increased. The market has become more flexible to demands of the MNCs, particularly with respect to terms of leasing. The downtrend in Mumbai is likely to continue in the short-term.

In Bangalore, renewed interest by the IT giants is expected to play a key role in the recovery of the city8217;s estate.
