
PUNE, JAN 7: Feroz Ali began the new century on a high, with a triumph. For Dinesh Raghuvanshi it was a case of being so near yet so far, for his first title in eight years as a professional. While Shiv Prakash, playing precision golf to card a whopping five-under 66, finished alongside Raghuvanshi for a joint second spot.
The final 18 holes at the Poona Club golf course for the Wills Western Open had all ingredients that makes golf a sport of uncertainties with many vouching, 8220;its anyone8217;s game till the last hole.8221;
Feroz did what was expected of him, after a rather bad beginning with a one-under 70 score and total 279. It earned him Rs 97,200, and his second title of the season.
