
Chennai, Sept 1: In high scoring third round8217;s play today, Feroz Ali of Calcutta continued to lead the table in the Ford-MGC Golf Open championship which is poised for a close finish here tomorrow.
Feroz Ali, who played poorly by his own admission, carded a one over 71 but it was good enough for him to be the leader with a total of 204, which was just two strokes better than his statemate Rafiq Ali, whose par 70 today, helped him to move from yesterday8217;s third spot to be runner-up.
Chandigarh8217;s Harmeet Kahlon was placed third at two under par 208, while his statemate GS Sethi 210 and Ali Sher 210 were joint fourth.
Former champion and veteran Rothas Singh of Delhi, who posted the day8217;s best of three under 67, was in sixth spot with Vishal Singh, each tallying 217. Among amateurs, CV Yudvir maintained his top position and recorded a total of 217 for three rounds, while Jaideep Patwardhan of Pune was in second spot with 219.
