FCI rout Dogra Regiment

NEW DELHI, February 2: Food Corporation of India North Zone lifted the Delhi hockey championship routing Dogra Regiment 7-1 in the final at Shivaji Stadium here today. The winners led 4-0 at the breather.

Jasbir Singh8217;s three-goal effort was the highlight of FCI8217;s facile victory.Amar Singh gave FCI the lead in the third minute and Jasbir increased the lead in the 11th minute by converting a penalty corner. Tinu 23rd minute and Jasbir 26th added a goal each before the half-time whistle to put the team in command.

After the breather, Rajiv 39th minute, Navbir Singh 42nd and Jasbir Singh 45th scored once each. Dogra Regimen8217;s lone goal came in the 46th minute when Malkit scored a field goal.

FCI earned as many as six penalty corners while Dogra Regiment were awarded two.
