NEW DELHI, February 2: Food Corporation of India (North Zone) lifted the Delhi hockey championship routing Dogra Regiment 7-1 in the final at Shivaji Stadium here today. The winners led 4-0 at the breather.

Jasbir Singh’s three-goal effort was the highlight of FCI’s facile victory.Amar Singh gave FCI the lead in the third minute and Jasbir increased the lead in the 11th minute by converting a penalty corner. Tinu (23rd minute) and Jasbir (26th) added a goal each before the half-time whistle to put the team in command.

After the breather, Rajiv (39th minute), Navbir Singh (42nd) and Jasbir Singh (45th) scored once each. Dogra Regimen’s lone goal came in the 46th minute when Malkit scored a field goal.

FCI earned as many as six penalty corners while Dogra Regiment were awarded two.
