The National Centre of Performing ArtsNCPA has cancelled all events scheduled for the weekend. Announcements regarding future performances will be made on Monday, December 1.

Live Earth India,which was to take place in the city on December 7, has been cancelled. In a joint statement issued by Live Earth founder Kevin Wall, climate change activists and Nobel laureates Al Gore and Dr R K Pachauri, the organisers stated, 8220;We will continue to work for solutions to the climate crisis for the good of the people of India and around the world. But for now, our thoughts and our prayers are with the victims of this terrible attack, with the bereaved, with the people of Mumbai and with everyone in India.8221; For information on ticket refunds, visit liveearth.org.

The annual World AIDS Dayfunction, which was to be held in the city on Monday, December 1, has been cancelled. The event was to be attended by Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss and senior health officials, along with a host of Bollywood celebrities. Singer and musician Shaan was scheduled to release his music album, which talks about AIDS, at the function. Dr S S Kudalkar, Mumbai District AIDS Control Society chief said, 8220;Due to the law and order situation in the city, the grand function planned at Shivaji PArk for World AIDS Day has been cancelled. All other functions planned through that week have also been cancelled.8221;
