PATIALA, Jan 14: The Punjab State Electricity Board Engineers Association in a meeting has decided to resume agitation against the indifference of the board’s management to its various demands. According to a release issued by the association general secretary H.S. Bedi today, an emergency meeting of the executive of the association has been called on January 23 to chalk out the details of its agitation.
He said that resentment was prevailing amongst the engineers because of the failure of the board management to finalise the category-wise scales and various allowances admissible to the engineers.
He said that despite repeated assurances that pay revision committee would finalise its recommendations by October and November, no progress had been made so far. By overruling some of the important and unanimous recommendations of the wage formulation committee, the board has made a mockery of the pay revision committee.
