David Beckham’s son Brooklyn accuses mom Victoria of ‘hijacking’ his wedding, dancing ‘inappropriately on me’: ‘Don’t want to reconcile’

“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped,” he wrote, adding that she has been “consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one”. Nicola is the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz and former model Claudia Heffner Peltz, whom Brooklyn married in 2022.

Mom Victoria Beckham danced ‘inappropriately on me’

He claimed that his parents’ ill treatment of his wife dates back to their wedding. “My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress,” alleged Brooklyn. However, at the time, Nicola had claimed that she couldn’t wear Victoria’s dress because her atelier couldn’t prepare it in time for the wedding.

Brooklyn went on to allege that his mother “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola on their wedding day, and danced “inappropriately on me” in front of hundreds of guests, adding that he had never felt more “uncomfortable or humiliated” in his life. He added that him, 26, and Nicola, 31, chose to renew their vows last year to give a chance to new memories “that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment”.

He also alleged that his parents “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name” before the 2022 wedding ceremony. Once he refused to do so, it “affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since”. That continued all the way till David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration in May last year.

‘Brand Beckham comes first’

Even though Brooklyn and Nicola flew down to London to be a part of the celebrations, they were “rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him”. “He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner,” added the son. David finally agreed to invite Brooklyn to be a part of the celebrations, but only on one condition, that his daughter-in-law gives it a miss.

“My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first,” wrote Brooklyn, adding that “family ‘love’ is decided by how much you post on social media”. “I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared,” he added.

He alleged that he and Nicola have been subjected to “endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders”. “Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own façade. But I believe the truth always comes out,” he added.

Brooklyn even claimed that his younger brothers — Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20 — were “sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last summer”. The Beckham couple also have a daughter, Harper Seven, who’s 14, the youngest of all the kids. Earlier this month, on Nicola’s birthday, Brooklyn sent a legal notice to his parents, cutting all ties with them and asking them to contact them only through a lawyer.
