Sydney: The Indian camp is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Indian tennis duo of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi who have raised visions of a medal here in the Olympic Games. AK Matoo, chef-de-mission, stressed all was well with the Indian squad and they were waiting for the tennis pair to arive which will inspire all other athletes. Leander Paes, the singles silver medalist at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, can be a huge motivator. He will be the flag bearer at the opening cermony on Friday. After that, the tennis compeition begins on September 19. Leander and Mahesh, who regrouped earlier in August, are expected to do some damage here, what with so much expectation of a medal from them. The favourites to win the doubles title here are Mark Woodforde and Todd Woodbridge. Vece Paes, the team doctor, said the boys were eager to do their best in Sydney with so much at stake.
