Nitin Gadkari shows Farah Khan ‘gobar-painted’ walls at his home, lost 45 kgs by exercising everyday for 2.5 hours

As Farah Khan and Dilip shot their vlog at Union minister Nitin Gadkari's New Delhi residence, the cook has his own agenda -- to ask the Road Transport and Highways minister to make a road in his village.

Director-choreographer Farah Khan has been making waves with her cooking channel on YouTube. Her latest guest on the show was none other than the Indian minister of Road and Transport, Nitin Gadkari. The director, along with her cook, Dilip, visited the minister’s lavish New Delhi home, where they were treated to food and stories from Gadkari’s life as a politician and as a husband.

The vlog started with Farah taking a stroll through the Radisson Blu hotel situated near the IGI airport. As she tried to explain what she was doing in the capital, she saw Dilip taking a swim in the hotel pool. Like a child, Dilip was waving his arms around in the pool, as Farah stood outside like a disappointed parent. She screamed at him, “Yaha pool mai kyun naha raha hai? Tere room mai nahi hai bathtub. Iss hotel ko bolo ki pool disinfect karde (Why are you bathing in the pool? Don’t you have a bathtub in your room? Please, someone tell the hotel staff to disinfect the water.”

After rushing him out of the pool, the two finally made it to the Gadkari residence, and Farah was visibly nervous before having a politician on the show for the first time. Gadkari invited the two in and showed them his conference room, which had walls painted using gobar (cow dung). He also asked Farah and Dileep to guess which wall had regular paint and which one had gobar paint. When they failed to do so, Dileep asked the surface transport minister to give some paint to him too.

When asked about his schedule, he replied, “It’s 9:30 pm now, and after meeting with you, I have appointments till 1 am. Then I will wake up at 7 am and do exercise for 2 and a half hours. I used to be 135 kg at one point, and now I weigh 89 kg. You can see the positive effects of this routine on my face.”

Dilip was, however, focused on other things, as he kept requesting Gadkari to build a road in his village. The minister even asked for the name of Dilip’s village and said that he has already built a lot of roads in the entire state of Bihar, and soon more are coming. Upon meeting Gadkari’s wife, Kanchan Gadkari, Farah and Dilip discovered that she runs several NGOs and is even the chairman of a bank. Upon hearing this, Dilip again jumped into the conversation and said, “Ma’am, mujhe loan chahiye tha. Aap mujhe dila do na (Ma’am, I needed a loan; can you please get it for me)?”

After stopping Dilip from making any more requests, the group moved to the kitchen to prepare their dinner.
