Maharashtra Narcotic officials have attached a range of properties belonging to drug kingpin Iqbal Mirchi — estimated to be worth around Rs 12 crore — at Panchgani, a hill-station near Satara.
Satara SP Prashant Bhurde confirmed he had provided security cover during the process at Panchgani on Thursday. A special team attached Mirchi’s properties under Section 68 of the Narcotics Drugs and Pychotropic Substances Act.
The properties include a petrol pump, wine shop and hotel in Panchgani. A plot near Vahi has also been attached.
