Drug peddler remanded

Sept 21: Additional chief metropolitan magistrate Namdeorao Pokharkar today remanded Abdul Karim Karumpurath to judicial custody upto September 29. He was arrested on Sunday by the air intelligence unit AIU at Sahar airport while he was on his way to board an Air-India plane to Jeddah. Officers recovered 200 gm of hashish valued at Rs 10,000 in the Indian market and Rs 1 lakh in the foreign market. The drug was found concealed in the socks.
