In the canvas-struck art world, drawings make only guest appearances, but that was no deterrence for gallerist Mala Aneja as she put together the annual exhibition of Art. Motif that completes 13 years. 8220;It is an important medium and every artist will vouch for that,8221; says Aneja, who approached the artists a year ago. The exhibition 8220;Contemporary Drawings 18221; has works by over 20 artists, including Ram Kumar, K.M. Adimoolam, K.G. Subramanyan, Satish Gujral and Jyoti Bhatt. While this will be on till January 11, the celebration of the medium will continue in the next show as well. 8220;That8217;ll have drawings by younger artists,8221; says Aneja. The list will include Paresh Maity, Kriti Arora and Manjunath Kamath.
