
MUMBAI, Jan 30: Pratim Parikh completed a double and so did Isha Lakhani in the 7-Up Junior State Ranking Tennis Tournament at the Garden Tennis Academy here today.
Pratim won the under-18 and under-16 titles while Isha won the 14 and 16 finals.
Pratim faced a tougher challenge in the under-18 final against Vivek Jhaveri during which the strong winds across the court made control of shots difficult. Pratim was more consistent then his opponent, breaking him in the seventh game. But Vivek broke right back making it 4-all in the first set.The players traded another service break before the tie-breaker which Pratim won 8-6.
In the second set, Pratim had an easy time as Vivek lost 2-6. In the under-16 final, Pratim defeated Gravyl Fernandes 6-4 6-0.
Isha conceded just six games in winning both the titles. She had a 6-2, 6-0 margin of victory against Johan Fernandes in the under-16 final and won 6-1, 6-4 in the under-14 final against Krushmi Chheda.
For young Sujay Mahadevan, a product of Garden TennisAcademy, it was his first title of his life when he defeated Jay Mehta 6-3, 6-3 in the under-14 final.

Boys under-18: Pratim Parikh bt Vivek Jhaveri 7-6 (8-6), 6-2.
Under-16: Pratim Parikh bt Gravyl Fernandes 6-4, 6-0.
Under-14: Sujay Mahadevan bt Jay Mehta 6-3, 6-3.
Under-12: Keshav Narsimhan bt Krishank Shah 2-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Under-10: Arnav Jain bt Ankesh Bharghava 6-1, 6-2.
GIRLS Under-16: Isha Lakhani bt Johan Fernandes 6-2, 6-0.
Under-14: Isha Lakhani bt Krushmi Chheda 6-1, 6-4. Under-12: Kartiki Bhat bt Sagarika Phadke 6-0, 6-1.
