The Indian Doctors for Peace and Development IDPD on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist violence in Mumbai and expressed condolences to the family members of those killed in the attack.
8220;This is a serious challenge to not only the secular democratic fabric of our country but also to the peace in South Asian region as a whole. But we also express serious concern over the hysteria being created for military action against Pakistan. Whereas we urge the Pakistani government to rein in the terrorists operating from there, we are of firm view that war with Pakistan is no solution,8221; said IDPD in a statement here today.
8220;A joint and united effort by all countries of the region is needed to tackle terrorism as all the countries of the region are badly effected by the menace of terrorism. We have to demarcate between the pro and anti terrorist lobbies within Pakistan and move cautiously through diplomatic means. History has shown that war has no where solved any problem, added the IPDP.
