One successful film seems to inspire director Madhur Bhandarkar to make the next. Scooping subjects from real life and effectively portraying them on celluloid, he has been tagged the 8216;dig-and-expose8217; of the apparent glamour world. With a line up of back-to-back hits, right from Chandni Bar to his latest, Fashion, the national award-winning filmmaker says that stories that come from a realistic backset always connect well with the audience. 8220;I am a story teller who hunts for stories from real incidences. But it is nothing like an exposure. It8217;s drawn from a real backset, but the story is my fiction. But, yes, I make sure that whatever I put in comes after a lot of research,8221; he says, further adding, 8220;Although Fashion is my take on the ramp life of a supermodel, I have in no ways, tried to demean the fashion industry. The film is a journey of a middle-class girl who dreams to be a supermodel and the path, her so-called success takes her to,8221; he says.

His run with the censor board that asked the director to cut down adult scenes from the film Fashion, created some sparks of controversy, but shrugging off all the misunderstandings, Bhandarkar says, 8220;The parameters of certification seem to have changed. My previous films, having similar scenes were given the U/A certificate, so I was expecting the same for Fashion. When I refused to delete the scenes, they certified it 8216;A8217;, but I8217;m happy now as the film has got a good opening.8221;

After having successfully portrayed various real-life subjects, what comes next from this director8217;s cut is an 8212; 8216;under trial8217;. 8220;Jail, is the next film I8217;m working on. It is about the courtroom trial of an accuse.8221; A big fan of Manmohan Desai and David Dhavan, he says that although he makes serious cinema comedy is what he loves to see off work and would soon try his hands on it. 8220;Post Jail, I am looking forward to make a comedy film, for which I am also hunting for the right story,8221; says he.

With Fashion, his banner Madhur Bhandarkar Entertainment, launched as a partner with UTV, Madhur says that he would still take time to become a full-time producer. 8220;Right now I am concentrating on making stories I want to tell, but in future I would definitely be producing cinema where other directors would make my films,8221; he concludes.
