Media fellowships announced
The National Foundation for India has announced its Media Fellowships Programme for young and mid-career journalists. The fellowship would provide an opportunity to research and publish articles on issues concerning 8220;gender equity and gender justice with particular emphasis on the girl child8221;. The foundation offers five fellowships of Rs 1 lakh each during 1998-99. Two fellowships will be awarded for projects with specific emphasis on conditions in rural areas. Examination results
Results of various examinations conducted by the Board of Adult Education and Training will be declared on Friday. Over 10,000 students appeared for the examinations, which were held in May. The results will be available at the board office in Brahmpuri.
