New meditation centre in Tihar
One more meditation centre Divya Jyoti Sansthan Satsang Bhawan8217; has been started in Tihar Jail, No. 3. Inaugurating the centre, R S Gupta, I.G Prisons expressed the need of meditation centres to cope with stress. Two weeks ago, Prajapati Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vidyalaya had opened their Raja Yoga Meditation centre at Jail No. 2. Another centre for the welfare of adolescent prisoners will soon be started in Jail No. 5.

Avoid recruiting nurses on contract basis8217;
Expressing concern on the on-going strike by the Delhi Nurses8217; Union, the Trained Nurses8217; Association of India TNAI has said the government should avoid recruiting new nurses on contract basis as this would not solve the problem. In an appeal to the government, Jaiwanti P Dhaulta, secretary-general, TNAI said the government should consider their demands and resolve the matter through a meaningful dialogue.

New swimming pool at S Delhi
Krishan Kant on Saturday laid the foundation stone of the swimming pool and health club of the Gulmohar sports-cum-community centre. Besides eminent journalists, Suman Krishan Kant, Rajesh Sharma, MLA, and Aarti Mehra, councillor South Delhi, attended the function.
